1. Why should I create an account?

When you have an account you can:
• post messages, submit articles and submit events
• rate messages, articles and events
• receive notifications (for example, when someone replies to your messages, articles or events)
• send messages directly to other users (future)
• receive email updates from OSUBeaverSports.com
We also only collect a limited set of information.
• The only personal information that you give us when you create your account are your email address (so that we can contact you), your zip code, and security question/answer (so you can recover a lost user name or password).
• Unlike other sites, we don't ask for your phone number, address or even your real name.

2. Moderation

OSUBeaverSports.com is driven by its members. We rely on our members giving us feedback on everything. Once you login, you will be able to moderate any article, event or message. Based on the ratings that members of the site provide, we will given that item more prominence on the site (in the case of good ratings) or less prominence (in the case of bad ratings). Whether you like or dislike something, let us know!


3. How can I get the most out of this site?


1. Rate everything you can. Do you like an article? Give it a positive rating. Did you notice some spam on the message board? Moderate it down.


2. Use the filters when viewing articles, events and message boards. This way you can view things that are interesting to you. Do you only want to see when football games are? Go to the calendar and filter by the football subject.


3. Visit often. We are constantly updating the site with new content and we will continue to add new features to make the site great for our users.




4. How do I become a top Beaver Believer?

Top Beaver Believers are those who contribute the most to OSUBeaverSports.com.

How do you contribute?
Start by creating an account, or if you already have one log in.

Once you are logged in, your are ready to start contributing. We want everyone to submit new content and rate content that other people have submitted. When you rate content that has been submitted by others you help us make sure that everyone gets to see the best, most interesting content first.

For each of these actions (submitting, moderating and receiving moderation points from others) you will receive points. These points determine who the top contributors are. To see how many points you've earned, go to your account info page. You can also see how many points other members of the site have earned by clicking on their user name when you see it in the heading for an article, event or message.

5. I noticed there is something illegal/distasteful on the site. How should I inform you?

Email to remove@osubeaversports.com along with the title and what kind of item it is - article, event, message board post, etc. Also be sure to include a description of what you think the problem is.


6. I have a suggestion for a new great thing you shoud do/new feature or other feedback. Where can I show it to you?
